We are proud to have found a 1937 warehouse in Downtown Abilene that we have begun to bring back to life, much like Downtown Abilene as a whole.  We are large supporters of all things Abilene and encourage shopping local whenever the chance presents itself.  #Shoplocal #Eatlocal  #BuyAbi

Owners Ted (Abilene native & Cooper High grad) and Allicyn (Coleman native) are long-time supporters of Abilene, and are excited to be a part of the growth in the Downtown area.

Ted & Allicyn both graduated from Texas A&M University, with Allicyn going on to get her law degree from Texas Wesleyan School of Law. Ted began a career in the energy industry but moved back to Abilene to purchase a long-time family-owned business called Abilene Tent & Awning and ABC Tent & Party Rental. This company grew into Lone Star Canvas & Sign Works, Inc., which has grown exponentially into a large manufacturer of awnings, boat covers, custom projects, tarps, industrial tool bags, and jeep accessories. Both Ted & Allicyn (who scaled back her law practice to help the canvas & retail businesses grow) love being hands-on, designing and hand-crafting the products for their canvas business.

Their hands-on approach holds true with Lone Star Dry Goods as well. Allicyn & Ted noticed that high-quality, unique men’s and outdoor items were hard to find locally, and they worked diligently to curate a collection of products. They traveled and researched, and carefully selected hand-crafted, artisan, durable, high-quality products they could be proud to offer their customers all in one convenient location. They strive to have something for every person who walks in their door.

Lone Star Dry Goods isn’t just a place to shop; it’s a space you’re welcome to come and hang out, with no hassle or sales pitches. Be sure and stop by on Saturdays to grab a free Shiner (Shiner Saturdays have become a tradition, with LSDG recently partnering with Shiner to offer co-brand apparel)!
